Massage therapy is a powerful contributor to physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Massage can also alleviate muscle pain, joint discomfort, headaches, anxiety, and depression.
Kate uses elements of Swedish massage — smooth strokes, kneading, friction, and stretching — to facilitate deep relaxation. She integrates the slower, more concentrated techniques of deep tissue massage in order to realign deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue, particularly in the neck, back, hip, and shoulder regions of the body. Her knowledge of yogic alignment informs her approach to bodywork, and she often includes supported, restorative postures in massage therapy sessions.
Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes.
